Role DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time, on-site Equine & Facility Manager based in Rogers, AR. This role includes overseeing the care, health, and conditioning of our horses while ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of the facility
. Responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating equine care routines, managing facility upkeep, supervising staff and volunteers, and collaborating with program leaders to support equine-assisted activities. The manager will monitor equine well-being and ensure compliance with safety and welfare regulations.
- Oversee daily care, health, and welfare of all therapy horses
- Manage feeding programs, veterinary/farrier schedules, dental care, and medical records
- Support care, conditioning, and handling of therapy horses
- Prepare horses for sessions and maintain high safety standards
- Perform
routine repairs, construction projects, and facility upkeep
, including fencing, gates, shelters, and arenas - Maintain barns, pastures, paddocks, and arena footing
- Operate and maintain
farm equipment such as tractors, mowers, UTVs, implements, and tools - Handle
heavy lifting
, hauling, and manual labor as part of daily operations - Ensure all facilities are safe, functional, and prepared for programs and events
- Lead and guide equine staff, interns, and volunteers in safe horsemanship and facility practices
- Maintain organization of tools, supplies, feed rooms, tack areas, and equipment
- Collaborate with leadership on property improvements and infrastructure planning
- Support the overall safety, efficiency, and sustainability of all EB operations
- Minimum
10 years of horse experience - Demonstrated ability to
perform physically demanding tasks
, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors year-round - Skilled in
general farm work
, fencing, repairs, construction tasks, and equipment operation - Strong knowledge of horse behavior, handling, and welfare standards
- Experience supervising or training others
- Effective organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable using technology for scheduling and documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and work independently with minimal supervision
