Customer Business Development (CBD) is the Sales organization at The Magnum Ice Cream Company. CBD works closely with customers and internal cross functional teams to create and implement joint business plans that deliver value for the customer and company. CBD leaders pioneer new products, build categories, and develop partnerships with retailers that deliver strong category growth results. The Sales Director of Walmart for our Ice Cream business is dedicated to growing our Ice Cream business at Walmart through design for channel strategic growth opportunities and accelerated joint business planning.
WhatYou Will Do
The Walmart Associate Director of Ice Cream will establish and develop sustained business relationships and drive profitable sales volume for the Ice Cream Category. You will deliver sales and profit share goals while improving return on holistic customer investment, in line with joint business plan targets and customer and brand strategies. You are also responsible for improving in-store and online presence by leading execution across the extended team of Shopper Marketing, eCommerce, Category Insights, Business Development and Supply Chain.
This role has one direct report, a senior sales analyst (1C).

Lead the multifunctional effort with customer counterparts; develop and execute joint business plans; manage NSV and trade investment; lead retail initiatives; lead direct report and a multifunctional team. - You’re a strategy guru:
Customize corporate marketing and merchandising programs to win with Walmart; coordinate and manage CD initiatives; coordinate Joint Business Plans. - You love to win and have fun doing it:
Drive strategic relationships and accelerated growth, while operating within approved Trade Marketing parameters and driving trade investment efficiency. - You’re a dot connector:
Interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders; balance individual customer needs while ensuring total Market integrity. - You are a self-starter:
You thrive with ambiguity, develop new solutions, and influence change with a strong bias for action. - You have a strong financial acumen:
You can own and manage a P&L and understand KPIs to improve performance.
- Undergraduate degree is required
- 10+ years’ Customer Business Manager or equivalent management experience required
- Walmart channel Account Management with CPG is a must
- Must demonstrate strong financial acumen and ability to manage a P&L
- Trade Marketing and Category Management experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of Nielsen/IRI, Trade Promotion Management and Customer POS Data
- Must be skilled in verbal and written communications
- Must relate effectively with multiple levels of management, internally and externally
- Must be a strategic thinker who can work effectively in a highly collaborative manner
- Must have strong relationship building and management skills
- Must possess strong negotiation skills and demonstrate ability to strategically influence
