Dress for Success Northwest Arkansas (DFS NWA) is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and highly organized Client Services & Workforce Development Coordinator to serve as a primary point of support for clients pursuing economic mobility, career advancement, and long-term stability. This is a client-facing, counseling-informed role that blends workforce development, career coaching, boutique services, and wraparound case management. While this is not a therapy position, a strong mental health and human services background is essential.
Position Overview – The responsibilities below describe a role that provides coaching, vocational support, and workforce development services to advance client outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one and group-based workforce development support
- Conduct comprehensive client intakes and needs assessments
- Support job search, resumes, mock interviews, workplace readiness, and pay negotiation
- Assist with workplace conflict resolution and career transitions
- Provide career counseling–informed services within scope of practice
- Support clients with interview, employment, court, graduation, and special event clothing
- Complete all client documentation and follow-up in HIPAA-compliant systems
- Track outcomes related to employment, wages, education, and certifications
- Coordinate referrals to community resources as needed
- Maintain knowledge of local resources including housing, healthcare, hunger relief, DV services, immigration supports, and education programs
- Build and maintain relationships with employers and workforce partners
- Stay informed about local hiring trends
- Supervise and mentor interns supporting client services and boutique operations
- Collaborate with staff and support fundraising and community events as a shared responsibility
- Complete all client documentation and follow-up in HIPAA-compliant systems
- Track outcomes related to employment, wages, education, and certifications
- Coordinate referrals to community resources as needed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or a related field required, or actively enrolled in a graduate program
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a mental health, workforce development, or client-centered setting
- LAC (Licensed Associate Counselor) or CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) strongly preferred
- Experience with career counseling or economic mobility programming highly valued
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) preferred
- Strong trauma-informed, strengths-based approach
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries with complex client populations
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Comfort with HIPAA-compliant databases
- Cultural humility and experience working with diverse populations
This position is not a therapy role. It utilizes counseling-informed coaching and vocational support to advance workforce and economic outcomes.
