Sets priorities according to the surgery schedule so that equipment and instruments are sterile and available when needed. Assists the manager in maintaining the QA data for the sterilization process of instrumentation, taking responsibility for maintaining the sterilization logs, temperature and humidity logs, and preventive maintenance on the sterilization equipment. Reports deficiencies to the manager immediately. Assists in the preoperative care of the surgical patient by supporting the nursing staff, anesthesia staff, and surgical team as needed.
Helps maintain the integrity of instruments, reporting damaged or missing instruments in a timely fashion. Assists in the budgetary process by documenting future needs or replacement of equipment and/or instruments. Completes the day's workload efficiently and accurately, minimizing downtime and wasted supplies.

- Certification: BLS current
- Other Skills and Knowledge: Ability to communicate both written and verbal effectively and legibly.
- Preferred Experience: Minimum 3 years work experience in a Healthcare Environment and/or a Surgical Tech Student.
- Preferred Certification: BLS current
