Technician, Aviation Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is looking for an Aviation Maintenance Technician to join the Walmart Global Aviation Maintenance team. This individual will be responsible for performing day-to-day duties involving business aircraft maintenance. As a technician, you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining operational readiness of the Walmart Global Aviation fleet of aircraft, including performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Ideal candidate will have strong background and working knowledge of complex aircraft systems and maintenance operations related to modern corporate jets.

Avionics experience is preferred.

• Ability to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on corporate aircraft including cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the structural, mechanical, and electronic elements of the aircraft.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex jet aircraft systems and components.
• Ensuring proper working conditions of aircraft and systems before flight.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation, record-keeping, and audit processes, ensuring that all maintenance records are appropriately maintained and properly completed, including updating computerized maintenance tracking software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and adherence to safety and compliance standards. Ensuring all work is accomplished in accordance with companies Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) & Repair Station Quality Control Manual, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, and federal regulations.
• Perform engine runs and taxi aircraft for troubleshooting by using OEM checklist.
• Facilitate ground movement of aircraft by towing and parking aircraft, operating tugs, positioning aircraft into and out of hangars, and assisting with operations during inclement weather.
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills to support the maintenance teams and flight department. Collaborate as part of a team/shift, working with other technicians as needed, ensuring all inspection work scopes and maintenance activities are performed as safely and efficiently as possible.
• Travel to or with company aircraft to assist with offsite maintenance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by Lead technician, Senior Manager, or Director of Maintenance.

• 3 years’ experience as a licensed aircraft technician.
• 1 years' experience maintaining complex aircraft electrical systems.
• Airframe and Powerplant license.
• Inspection Authorization (IA).
• Ability to work either day or night shifts, including weekends.
• 5 years’ experience as a licensed aircraft technician. 3+ years maintaining business jet aircraft.
• Experience maintaining Praetor aircraft.
• Avionics experience.

The hourly wage range for this position is $43.00 - $86.00
* * The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
