We are looking for a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our Rogers, AR team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with field inspections of construction projects, working closely with experienced technicians and engineers to learn proper inspection techniques and procedures.
- Perform materials testing under the guidance and supervision of senior technicians, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Learn to collect samples from job sites and assist in transporting them to the laboratory for further analysis.
- Assist in conducting laboratory tests on construction materials, following standardized procedures and utilizing appropriate testing equipment.
- Record and document test results accurately, maintaining detailed records of findings and observations.
- Support the team in preparing reports and summaries, contributing to the overall project documentation.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and testing equipment.
- Embrace a learning mindset, actively seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills in construction materials testing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interest in the civil/structural engineering industry, with a desire to gain hands-on experience in the field and laboratory.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using standard software applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in recording and documenting data.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
