JOB OVERVIEW
The Recruitment and Admissions Specialist supports K-12 student enrollment by supporting recruitment, marketing, and admissions efforts across the Northwest Arkansas region. This role builds strong relationships with families, schools, and community partners to promote educational programs and services, guide families through the enrollment and admissions process, and increase awareness and engagement. The specialist serves as a visible representative of the district, supporting enrollment growth and strengthening community connections.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, bilingual preferred
- Ability to understand and make decisions in accordance with school policies and procedures; to maintain clerical accounting records and to prepare reports
- Ability to work harmoniously with students, administrative staff, stakeholders, and instructional staff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage students, families, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment activities, track enrollment data, analyze trends, and use data to support recruitment and retention goals.
- Skill in the operation of a microcomputer, keyboard, and peripheral equipment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities-
Admissions:
- Receive, review, and process student applications and enrollment documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with district and state requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for families in NWA, providing guidance on admissions timelines, eligibility requirements, and next steps.
- Verify residency, immunization records, transcripts, and other required documentation while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with FERPA and district policies.
- Maintain accurate admissions records, monitor enrollment trends
- Work closely with school administrators, counselors, registrars, and district office staff to ensure smooth transitions for new students and timely placement.
- Carry out recruitment plans to attract prospective students across the Northwest Arkansas region, aligned with district enrollment goals.
- Represent the district at school fairs, community events, open houses, campus tours, and informational sessions to engage prospective students and families.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with feeder schools, community organizations, childcare providers, and local agencies to expand recruitment pipelines.
- Collaborate with communications and operations departments to distribute recruitment materials, promote programs, and support digital and print outreach efforts.
- Monitor recruitment efforts, document contacts and events, and analyze data to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with schools and departments to support student retention initiatives, re-engage withdrawn or non-enrolled families, and improve the overall enrollment experience.
- Participate in district planning initiatives, cross-department projects, and process improvement efforts related to enrollment, customer service, and community engagement to strengthen long-term recruitment and admissions outcomes.
- Coordinate the distribution of informational flyers, newsletters, and digital communications about school events and programs.
- Host and staff informational booths at local community festivals, church events, and neighborhood association meetings to represent the district.
- Conduct presentations to community groups, such as local businesses or non-profits, to promote LISA Academy programs and services.
- Schedule a visit to profit and non-profit organizations to create opportunities for partnership
- Support VIP visits
