Job Summary and Essential FunctionsThe Deck Attendant assists in pool patrons' use of the slides; enforcing safety rules and correcting infractions of pool rules. The deck attendant is also responsible for assisting in maintaining and cleaning the pool facilities.

- Responsible for maintaining the upkeep and safety at the Roeland Park Aquatic Center.
- Assists in permitting patrons to use the slides, correct infractions of pool rules and regulations of pool patrons, clean/maintain the facilities.
- All Aquatic Center staff assists with facility cleaning daily, pre-season and post-season.
- Must be willing to complete onsite training provided by the Aquatic Center staff in regard to pool slide rules and regulations.
- The applicant must pass a background check and drug test.
- Must be at least 14 years of age.
Physical Requirements: Tasks involve frequent walking, standing; some lifting and carrying objects of moderate weight (25-50 lbs.); and the operation of office equipment and hand tools in which manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination are important ingredients of safe and/or productive operations.
Environmental Requirements: Tasks may require frequent exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as inclement weather, heat, and extreme cold.
Sensory Requirements: Tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Task requires oral communication ability.
