Concrete Truck Driver – Silvi Materials

Title of Position: Concrete Truck Driver.
Location: Rocky Mount, NC.
Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00 an hour.

• Maintain the highest standard of quality and safety while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of concrete.
• Operate an 80,000 lbs ready‑mix truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines; document and request required repairs as needed.
• Load and pour concrete following procedures involving ladders, main chutes, and extension chutes, and drive in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic.
• Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records in accordance with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations.
• Read delivery tickets and communicate with dispatch regarding all deliveries.
• Wash residual concrete and materials off the truck and barrel.

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL‑A or CDL‑B) and a valid DOT Medical Card.
• Pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
• Able to work a variable schedule; start times anywhere between 12am-9am.
• 1 year of preferred driving experience.

• Lift 40‑50 pounds regularly.
• Climb on traditional and truck ladders.
• Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Stand/sit for long periods.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists while driving.
• Bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
• Move two or more limbs together.
• Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
• See details of objects less than a few feet away.
• Use muscles for extended periods of time.
• Be physically active for long periods of time.
