Inspector, Quality Assurance - QA​/QC, Quality Control ​/ Manager

Overview

Talascend is currently seeking a Inspector for a contract opportunity with our client in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

• Set up and calibrate CMM systems according to measurement requirements
• Operate CMM equipment for dimensional inspections
• Record and analyze measurement data; document results
• Conduct routine checks and inspections
• Collaborate with QA teams to identify defect trends and corrective actions
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports
• Diagnose and resolve CMM equipment issues
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Work with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues
• Communicate inspection results and quality standards effectively

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years operating CMM equipment in manufacturing or quality control

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and engineering drawings a plus
• Proficient in CMM programming and measurement software
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Understanding of quality control methodologies
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments
• Certification in quality control or CMM operation is a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 35 lbs occasionally
