Position Overview We are a healthy, growing church, in an exciting season of multiplication. Our current Pastor to Students will be moving into a new role on our team. We want to find the right fit to come behind him and build upon the traction that exists in our student ministry.

About Us

We exist to make disciples and plant churches – and that includes the next generation. We believe middle and high school students aren’t just the future of the Church – they are the Church. We’re looking for a full-time Student Pastor/Student Ministry Director who is faithful biblically, strong relationally, and is a visionary leader. This individual will oversee the discipleship, outreach, and care of middle and high school students, equipping a team of volunteers and partnering with parents to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus.

Position

Summary

The Student Pastor will lead and oversee all aspects of ministry to middle and high school students, creating an environment where students can encounter the gospel and be discipled. This role includes building and equipping a strong team of volunteers, fostering relationships with parents, and shaping a student culture that is both spiritually deep and irresistibly fun.

We want Redeemer Students to be the kind of place where students want to show up, bring their friends, learn Scripture, laugh hard, worship passionately, and grow deeply in their faith and knowledge of Christ. From retreats and small groups to messy games and missions trips, we want it all to flow from our vision of making disciples and planting churches – starting in student ministry.

  • Oversee all middle school and high school engagement, including weekly services, small groups, and special events.
Discipleship & Teaching
  • Develop and lead a teaching strategy rooted in Scripture that is age-appropriate, Christ-exalting, and contextual.
  • Equip students to grow in their faith and actively live out the gospel at home, school, and in the community.
  • Shepherd students through regular connection, pastoral care, and mentorship.
Leadership Development
  • Recruit, train, and shepherd a growing team of adult and student volunteers.
  • Cultivate a leadership pipeline that helps students grow into ministry roles within the church and beyond.
Student Engagement
  • Plan and execute events to engage with students in fun and relational environments.
  • Plan and execute evangelistic opportunities for students to invite their unbelieving friends.
Parent Engagement
  • Partner with parents as the primary spiritual influencers and disciple rs of their children.
  • Offer resources, communication, and support to equip parents in their discipleship efforts.
Administration & Communication
  • Plan and manage the student ministry calendar, events, budget, and safety protocols.
  • Communicate consistently and clearly with students, parents, volunteers, and church leadership.
  • Ensure integration and alignment of the student ministry with the broader church life.
Administrative & Organizational Leadership
  • Develop and manage the youth ministry budget.
  • Plan an annual calendar of events including camps and retreats.
  • Ensure all environments are safe, well-staffed, and aligned with church policies.
Who You Are
  • A passionate, growing disciple of Jesus who models spiritual depth and joyful authenticity.
  • Highly relational – you love being with students and connecting with their world.
  • A creative thinker who can design compelling events and experiences.
