Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of a small, growing oil and gas company based in North Carolina. This role will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will be responsible for core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, and comfortable operating in a small-company environment where responsibilities are broad and processes continue to evolve.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee Daily reconciliation between store systems and Corporate accounting (24+locations)
  • Petrosoft
  • Cargas
  • Dunkin
  • Delivery Services (Uber, Door Dash, Grubhub, etc....)
• Oversee Monthly bank reconciliations
• Ensure correct accounting rebates, incentives, loyalty and vendor rebates
• Record and process monthly payroll entries

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Monthly corporate close process

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Best practices in corporate accounting and record keeping
• Demonstrated expertise manipulating accounting data
• Advanced Excel skills a plus/ will help (lookups, match, pivot tables)
• Attention to detail
• Experience with multiple systems including cloud-based accounting
  • Intacct, Net Suite, etc....
