Associate Veterinarian

Animal Hospital of Rocky Hill is a family owned and operated veterinary clinic that has served the community since 1979. We primarily treat dogs and cats, but have recently expanded our offerings to include exotic species including small mammals, reptiles, and birds. Our veterinarians and support staff work together closely, offering each other invaluable expertise- a great opportunity for those interested in mentorship.

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Veterinarian, located in Rocky Hill, CT. The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing the health of animals, performing routine and complex surgeries, prescribing medications, and providing preventative care. The role also includes client interaction to educate pet owners about best practices for pet care and health maintenance, as well as maintaining accurate patient records.

Your collaboration with the veterinary team will be an essential aspect of ensuring the highest quality of care for all patients.

• Proficiency in veterinary diagnostics, treatment planning, and clinical care
• Experience with surgical procedures and preventive healthcare
• Strong communication and client education skills
• Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for animal well-being
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Connecticut or ability to obtain licensure
• Experience with veterinary software and record-keeping systems is a plus
