, we build insightful infrastructure projects and are looking for a Transportation Manager to lead our Connecticut office’s transportation division, coordinating design, development, and delivery of large-scale highway, bridge, and rail projects.

• Develop, monitor, and manage the department’s operating budget in support of the office budget and forecast updates.
• Manage the growth البشريةِنْ وَالأهمّ … && staff development; coordinate activities, set priorities, assign staff to projects, and ensure staff development and training needs are met.
• Support implementation of HNTB’s strategic plan and Sales Approach (SSA) for project pursuits, including department-level strategic planning.
• Implement the firm’s contracting (SCA) process through scope, work plan, and fee reviews for all contracting activities impacting the department.
• Implement the firm’s project delivery (SDA) process, including work planning, monthly project reviews, and other performance methods to ensure quality work on time and within clients’ expectations.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities: client discovery, proposal generation, interviews, and win‑to‑work activities.
• Maintain client contacts to ensure satisfaction and lead/sustain sales and marketing efforts for department growth.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and retain staff, including planning for reporting, performance, compensation reviews, and succession.
• Manage assigned project‑management activities—scope, schedule, budget, and quality management—and perform technical discipline tasks: research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation.
• Lead multiple teams with direct and indirect supervision of at least 15, typically 17–20+ employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10 years of practical experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.

• Master’s degree in Engineering
• 12 years of practical experience
• 4 years of supervisory experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification
• American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

• Location:
  
  Rocky Hill, CT (Hartford).
• Pay range: $165,550 – $264,450 (approximate, good‑faith estimate).
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
