Position OverviewThe Bridge Inspection Team Leader is a senior technical and leadership role responsible for overseeing NBIS-compliant bridge inspections across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York. This role includes leading inspection teams, coordinating with DOT clients, and reviewing inspection reports to ensure compliance with FHWA standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise bridge inspection teams on DOT projects
- Perform and oversee NBIS-compliant bridge inspections
- Prepare, review, and approve bridge inspection reports
- Analyze structural conditions and inspection findings
- Coordinate with DOT clients, project managers, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- E.I.T. required; P.E. preferred
- 5+ years of bridge inspection experience
- Completion of NHI bridge inspection training (Bridge, NSTM, Tunnel, Ancillary)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bentley Micro Station and/or AutoCAD
- Bridge inspection reporting and documentation systems
