About The Job Geotechnical Engineer
Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee‑owned company and leading provider of environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting services throughout the eastern US, is currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Geotechnical Engineer with 0‑3 years of experience to join our team. This position involves geotechnical investigations, engineering, and on‑site inspections including field investigations by means of drilling, test pit investigations and other in‑field sampling methods.
Responsibilities- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including site visits, soil sampling, and laboratory testing, to assess subsurface conditions.
- Conduct field inspections and monitoring during construction to ensure compliance with geotechnical design recommendations and material specifications.
- Prepare geotechnical reports, including data interpretation, analysis, and recommendations, to communicate findings to clients and project stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and construction specifications related to geotechnical engineering.
- Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulations related to geotechnical engineering, and apply this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- EIT certification is highly preferred.
- 0‑3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering, including field investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze geotechnical data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to clients and project teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Professional certifications a plus (ACI, ICC, etc.).
- The estimated range for this position is $60,000–$80,000.
