Full-time – 35 Hours.

Only candidates who are permanent in the Assistant Civil Engineer title, or who are reachable on the Open‑Competitive (Exam #1101), or who filed for the Open‑Competitive Exam #5015 may apply. The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking Inspectors to join our Construction Management Unit in various boroughs. Successful candidates will report to an Engineer‑In‑Charge and/or Resident Engineer and conduct technical inspections of construction, repair, and maintenance projects involving roadways, sewers, pavements, and sidewalks. Specific responsibilities include:

• Assess grading, paving, and repaving of streets.
• Inspect connections to house sewers, retaining walls, and maintenance of water, sewer, and utility manholes.
