- Tax Compliance & Preparation;
Lead preparation and review of federal, state, local, and fiduciary tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates. Ensure timely and accurate filings aligned with IRS and state/local regulations. - Proactive Planning & Advisory;
Develop year‑round tax strategies tailored to clients’ financial goals—reducing liabilities while maintaining compliance. Identify credits and deductions for real estate investors, business owners, and high‑net‑worth individuals. - Client Engagement & Relationship Management;
Serve as a trusted advisor, building long‑term relationships and delivering transparent, proactive guidance. Respond to client inquiries, support planning initiatives, and streamline data collection processes. - Process Improvement & Oversight;
Standardize internal workflows—documentation, controls, tax software usage, and filing protocols. - Mentor and supervise junior team members; review their work and provide technical coaching.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration;
Work with internal teams (e.g., bookkeeping, accounting, wealth and insurance advisors) to deliver cohesive financial solutions. - Coordinate with external tax professionals as needed, especially for complex or niche client situations.
- Technical Updates & Training;
Monitor federal and state tax law changes; assess client impact and update internal procedures. - Lead technical training sessions for internal staff.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Tax; CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in a public accounting firm or tax advisory practice (including real estate or high‑net‑worth client focus).
- Solid expertise in individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and real estate tax.
- Demonstrated ability in proactive tax planning, utilizing credits and deductions to optimize tax position.
- Proficient in tax software and advanced Excel.
- Strong leadership skills ability to manage staff and collaborate across teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a proactive, client‑service mindset.
