Lead Fire Sprinkler Technician

ZING is currently hiring on behalf of one of our established fire protection clients serving the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC area. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician ready to take a lead role with a company that values expertise, safety, and professionalism in the field.

• Service, inspect, and repair fire sprinkler systems for existing customers
• Respond to emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation
• Identify code violations and non-conformance issues
• Interpret and apply NFPA 25 standards during inspections and testing
• Complete accurate, timely service tickets and reports
• Communicate clearly with customers about findings and required repairs
• Perform fire pump flow tests preferred, but not required

• Valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer points
• 3+ years of licensed driving experience
• 2+ years inspecting and repairing fire sprinkler systems
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes
• NICET certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working on ladders (6–12 ft), lifts, and in tight spaces
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and work overhead
• Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with documentation

• $30–$45 per hour, depending on experience
• Time and a half for hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am
• 4-hour minimum at time and a half for emergency service calls
• Double time for emergency calls on recognized holidays, plus 8 hours of holiday pay
