Part Time 3rd Shift Grocery Stock Clerk

Overview

Primary responsibility is to Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create An Incredible Place To Work and Shop. Responsible for processing/packaging/stocking products according to Grocery Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service unloading stock, and reloading salvage.

• Provide outstanding customer service by satisfying customer needs and exceeding expectations.
• Process, package, and stock products according to Grocery Standards.
• Clean work areas and support unloading stock and reloading salvage as needed.
• Collaborate with associates to maintain a positive shopping and working environment.

• EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION. High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS. Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English; can effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates who speak English.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations with units of American money and weight measurement.
• REASONING ABILITY. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS. Complete Company's training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, and product knowledge.

• Pay Transparency:
  Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $18.05/hour and $22.00/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
