Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1854) s role focuses on delivering a welcoming guest experience, assisting with checkout, and helping guests navigate store services and digital options.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Greet guests and assist with daily tasks to create a welcoming environment.
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their needs, including helping with returns where applicable and following Target policies.
• Inform guests about current promotions, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store and in your area to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Explain and promote Target Loyalty benefits; assist with sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, adhering to food safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait times while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Guide guests on using Target app features (including Wallet) and direct them to enrollment for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
• Assist with order pickup and drive-up duties, following policies and escalating to leadership as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during store hours as needed.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pickup and drive-up while complying with relevant laws and store procedures.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

• Enjoy interacting with guests and colleagues; able to work in a fast-paced, active environment with teamwork and problem-solving in mind.
• Flexible schedule with varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Effective communication skills and a helpful, welcoming attitude; attention to detail and ability to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and technology devices; work both independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of remaining focused and composed while handling multiple tasks within time frames.
• Ability to handle checkout operations and basic cashier responsibilities; physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
