Tatte is looking for an experienced Chef to lead all kitchen operations at our MD Market café. The role includes managing a team of up to 25 staff, ensuring all food and safety standards are met, and maintaining high‑quality service in a fast‑paced environment.

• Run production and service according to established guidelines.
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; complete daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste completed meals to ensure quality.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, equipment operation, food safety, and sanitation per company and regulatory standards.
• Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas; ensure staff follows and completes schedules.
• Maintain inventory within established guidelines making sure necessary product is available when needed.
• Follow company safety and sanitation policies, including occurrence reporting.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs as appropriate.
• Implement seasonal menu changes.

• Work flexible hours based on sales trends – days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform ten‑plus hour shifts; stand, sit, squat, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience (or equivalent formal degree/training).
• Passion for culinary excellence and exceeding guest expectations.
• Knowledge and proficiency of systems, methods, and processes that contribute to great execution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional communication.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• High school education or equivalent.
