Overview
AHC SGMC Behavioral Health in Rockville, MD is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health Department. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (

- Educate patients and family through the continuum of care while pursuing knowledge and skills through feedback and guidance from more senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care.
- Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist Health Care values in fulfilling the nursing mission and vision.
- Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
- Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action.
- Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
- Conduct purposeful rounds from the patient and family perspective.
- Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in changes of practice based on evidence.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Passing score on NCLEX
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current Maryland State nursing license
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
- Over 2 years Behavioral Health experience preferred
Night Shift: 6:45p-7:15am, 3 12hr shifts/week, rotating weekend and holiday requirement.
Pay and BenefitsPay Range: $37.00 - $55.00
If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as: United States of America (Non-Exempt)
Sign-on Bonus Details* Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign-on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity. Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign-on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign-on bonus.
