New England Cancer Specialists is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our practices in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This 4-day workweek position requires broad oncology and hematology experience. The candidate will collaborate closely with physicians to diagnose, treat, and manage patients in an outpatient setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Hospital ConsultsTake medical histories, perform physical exams, and develop differential diagnosesAssess physical and psychosocial status, order and interpret tests, diagnose and treat co-morbid illnesses, perform delegated procedures, and prescribe medications within scopeDetermine patient eligibility for clinical trialsEvaluate and improve the quality of careImplement therapeutic plans tailored to patient needsEducate patients and families about disease processes and treatmentsProvide symptom management and psychosocial support informationWeekends:
The role involves participation in weekend urgent care coverage 3-4 times per year, compensated at a premium.
Required
Skills and Experience:
Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for Maine or the ability to obtain itValid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license for New Hampshire or the ability to obtain itMinimum of 3 years’ experience in Oncology and HematologyMaster’s DegreeWomen's Health experience is preferredStrong collaboration skills with healthcare team membersExcellent communication skills with patients#J-18808-Ljbffr
