Join the Disaster Accountability Project as a volunteer for the Global Civil Society/Local NGO Outreach to Improve Disaster Relief & Humanitarian Aid role.
DAP is a leading nonprofit organization providing long-term independent oversight of disaster management systems. The organization engages a dedicated community to advance policy research and advocacy, promote transparency, and encourage public participation in oversight, community-based organizing, and discussions about disaster preparedness and relief.
The goal of this role is to reach out to civil society organizations and local NGOs around the world and ask them to participate in Smart Response.org, an online platform that improves disaster relief and humanitarian aid.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Language skills are preferred.
- Marketing/Communication skills are desired.
- Experience in the nonprofit, humanitarian, or civil society sectors is a plus.
- Experience in philanthropy is also beneficial.
- A strong connection to a disaster-prone region is an asset.
