- Establish and maintain operating cadence, including leadership meetings, goals, metrics, and follow-through.
- Prepare internal and external materials, including executive briefs, board content, and strategic narratives.
- Act as a connective layer across teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and momentum.
- Step into ambiguous, high-urgency problems and own them end-to-end.
- 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment (startup, aerospace/defense, consulting, or operational leadership role).
- Highest quality attention to detail.
- Time availability coinciding with a CEO-type schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask concurrently.
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically and execute tactically.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information and decisions.
- Exceptional written (Microsoft Office, AI tools) and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of driving complex, cross-functional efforts through execution.
- High-ownership mindset with comfort making decisions under uncertainty.
- Ability to work independently while integrating tightly with leadership and technical teams.
- Experience in space, aerospace, defense, or national security environments.
- Prior Chief of Staff, program management, or operations leadership experience.
- Exposure to government programs.
- Technical literacy and comfort engaging directly with engineers.
- Experience scaling teams, processes, or programs in a startup environment.
- Ownership – Direct responsibility for high-impact initiatives and company-level outcomes.
- Access – Daily exposure to executive decision-making and company strategy.
- Impact – A visible role shaping how Quantum Space operates and scales.
- Growth – A path to expanded leadership responsibilities as the company grows.
- Compensation – Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, generous leave, HSA, 401(k) matching, and equity participation.
