Position: Associate Director, Performance and Talent Management

Overview

The Learning, Talent & Organizational Development (LTOD) group leads learning, development, talent management, leadership & team development, change management and performance management initiatives. This role serves as a trusted advisor and expert in Integrated Talent Management, partnering with HR business partners, key stakeholders and senior leaders to design, develop and lead all integrated talent management processes and initiatives—performance management, talent review, succession planning, tracking, analytics and reporting.

Functional

Management
  • Serves as the project team lead on various high-impact programs and initiatives, often cross-functional and impacting a significant subset of the employee population.
  • Establishes performance standards and metrics to measure quality, employee impact, ROI and overall team performance.
  • Leads the design, development and launch of talent review and succession management processes, roll-out strategy and key messaging—assessing potential, talent assessment administration, high-potential identification, succession criteria and plans, system administration, resources and training.
  • Leverages systems and technology to increase efficiency and productivity and simplify processes and programs for the employee population.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and external networks to identify alternative ways of improving the function.
  • Monitors the effectiveness of integrated talent management initiatives through reporting, data analysis and feedback mechanisms, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Facilitates training on all talent management processes: performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning.
Relationship Management
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management to gain in-depth knowledge of the business and design and implement programs.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to integrate talent management processes into development and assessment resources, managing process enhancements, ensuring smooth workflows and stakeholder engagement.
  • Guides people leaders toward developmental solutions appropriate for engaging and retaining top talent.
  • Partners with teams outside of HR (Corporate Communications, Office of General Counsel, Technology, etc.) to effectively design, develop and execute programs and initiatives.
  • Manages or coordinates external vendors to ensure optimal use of company resources through proposal, selection and ongoing assessment of performance and quality standards.
  • Demonstrates FINRA’s values and collaborates to further the mission of investor protection and market integrity.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of seven years relevant experience.
  • Experience managing people or cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth project management skills.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence to achieve outcomes.
  • Experience working with Vice President level and above.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and effective presentation skills.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certification desirable.
Work Conditions
  • Hybrid work environment with defined in-person presence requirements.
  • Extended hours and travel may be required.

Minimum $138,927, Maximum $208,391
San Francisco, CA:
Minimum $144,968, Maximum $217,452
CO/FL/TX:
Minimum $95,300, Maximum $171,800
IL/PA:
Minimum $122,800, Maximum $222,400
MA/MD/VA/Washington, DC:
Minimum $128,000, Maximum $232,500
NY/NJ:
Minimum $128,000, Maximum $242,600
