*** The Associate Counsel provides legal support to the on-going operations of James G. Davis Construction Corporation.##
** Essential Duties + Responsibilities
*** Perform responsibilities with excellence in service, integrity and building relationships as exemplified in DAVIS core values
* Perform reviews of routine contracts, recommend modification where necessary
* Assist General Counsel to identify and resolve legal issues and to provide ongoing counsel, advise and support
* Monitor, research and analyze developments in laws
* Assist with creation and implementation of educational materials on legal issues for various departments
* Review owner and subcontractor contracts and related documents and modify as necessary in accordance with corporate standards and project requirements
* Coordinate with outside counsel resources on a case-by-case basis
* Perform other duties as assigned##

** Knowledge, Experience + Special Skills**##  
* Required
* * College Degree & J.D. from a law school of recognized standing
* Member of a State Bar
* At least three (3) years of legal experience either at a reputable law firm or in-house
* Experience with drafting and negotiating legal documents
* Decision making, research and analytical problem solving skills
* Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, and to work independently
* Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and interact effectively at all levels within the organization
* MS Office – Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook experience
* Legal experience in construction##
