M365​/Power Platform Solution Architect

Overview

Hyer Tek is seeking a Power Platform Solution Architect to lead technical design for Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 solutions for federal government clients. You'll own the architecture across the full Microsoft business applications stack — D365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance, and Power Platform — while pushing into AI, Copilot, and modern development approaches.

This is a leadership role for someone who sees where Microsoft is headed. You'll design solutions that leverage Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and natural language-driven development alongside traditional configuration and code. If you want to shape how federal clients adopt the next generation of Microsoft tech, this is the role.

• Design Dataverse data models, entity relationships, and security architecture
• Architect solutions across D365 modules — Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance, and Business Central
• Define security patterns — business units, security roles, field-level security, row-level security
• Lead technical design for Power Pages portals, Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, and Power Automate
• Design integrations between D365 apps, Power Platform, and external systems

• Design and implement Copilot Studio agents and AI-driven workflows
• Leverage AI Builder for document processing, prediction, and automation
• Apply prompt engineering and natural language development approaches
• Evaluate and recommend AI capabilities for client use cases
• Stay current on Microsoft AI roadmap and translate it into client solutions

• Define ALM strategy — solution segmentation, environment strategy, deployment pipelines
• Guide and mentor developers on best practices and emerging patterns
• Review technical designs and code from the development team
• Communicate architecture decisions to clients and stakeholders
• Ensure solutions meet federal security and compliance requirements (GCC High, IL4/IL5)

• 6+ years hands-on Power Platform and/or Dynamics 365 experience
• 2+ years in a technical lead or architect role
• Experience across multiple D365 modules (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, or Finance)
• Deep expertise with Dataverse data modeling and security architecture
• Understanding of ALM, solution management, and environment strategy
• Curiosity about AI, Copilot, and where Microsoft is heading
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Hands-on experience with Copilot Studio or AI Builder
• Experience with D365 Finance or Business Central
• Microsoft certifications (PL-600, PL-400, MB-230, MB-240, MB-310)
• Experience with Power Pages portal architecture
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops for Power Platform CI/CD
• GCC High or IL5 environment experience
• Federal or DoD project experience
• Active Secret clearance

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance. $150,000 – $170,000 annually, depending on experience and clearance status.
