Client Delivery Director

Overview

Hyer Tek is looking for a Client Delivery Director to lead our project delivery organization and ensure our federal clients get exceptional results. This is a people-first leadership role—you'll manage our delivery team, own client relationships, and make sure projects run smoothly from kickoff to close.

You will oversee 4–6 concurrent projects and manage a team of 12–20 delivery professionals (project managers, developers, consultants). As we grow, so will your portfolio. This role is not a purely technical project manager position, but technical skills are a bonus. We need someone who can run projects, develop people, and keep clients happy in the federal space.

• Lead the Delivery Team:
  Manage all delivery staff (PMs, developers, consultants); handle staffing decisions and resource allocation; conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development; participate in hiring for delivery roles.
• Own Project Delivery:
  Ensure projects deliver on time, on budget, and at quality; identify risks early and mitigate them; run standups, reviews, and retrospectives; standardize delivery processes and templates.
• Manage Client Relationships:
  Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for government program managers; lead status reporting, issue resolution, and client communication; build trust with stakeholders at the program manager and director level.
• Support the Business:
  Assist with delivery planning and LOE estimates during pre-sales; collaborate with leadership to improve delivery and scalability.

• 10+ years in project/program management
• 5+ years delivering technology projects for federal or DoD customers
• Experience directly managing delivery teams (not just projects)
• Track record of running multiple $500K+ engagements simultaneously
• Strong presence with government clients
• Excellent communication skills
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance

• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure)
• PMP or PgMP certification
• Active Secret clearance
• Consulting or professional services background
• Experience with Agile in federal environment
