OverviewEducology Solutions is seeking an Oracle Technical Specialist to provide support for the Oracle-based system for one of our customers. The Solution processes and maintains critical work for this customer and supports internal and external departments for this customer. The Solution was implemented in 2011 and, except for planned outages, runs 24x7x365. The structure of The Solution is complex, now outdated in some areas, and requires re-platforming of the three subsystems:
The Identity (Oracle Internet Directory/OID), Middleware (Oracle Application Server/Web Logic), and the UI/runtime (Oracle Forms). The Solution is a dedicated host/development environment.
- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Oracle applications and database solutions.
- Provide technical expertise for Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion/Cloud Applications, and/or custom Oracle-based systems.
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and scripts.
- Perform data modeling, database design, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Integrate Oracle systems with third-party applications using APIs, web services, and middleware.
- Support application upgrades, patches, migrations, and cloud transitions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and data governance standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs and operational procedures.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle technologies in an enterprise environment.
- Extensive work and knowledge of Oracle DB versions 11, 12c, and 19c.
- Extensive work and knowledge of Oracle Middleware (OAS, OID) v. 10g and 12c.
- Extensive work and knowledge of Web Logic v. 11/12.
- Extensive work and knowledge of Oracle Forms/Oracle Reports 10g, 12c upgrade.
- Extensive work and knowledge of Linux, shell scripts.
- Work and knowledge of Oracle Single Sign-On.
