Under the direction of the Director of the Department of Cybersecurity and Technology Infrastructure, defines, leads, and supervises staff in managing, troubleshooting, and designing a complex network infrastructure in a large wide‑area network environment with zero trust network architecture, routing, switching, local area networks (wired and wireless), firewalls, secure service edge, secure access service edge, cloud network architecture, intrusion detection/prevention systems, proxy servers, log aggregation technology, virtual private networks, as well as security best practices, disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
Leads and supervises ITSSs and ITSEs working in the fields of Networking, Voice Over IP and Cybersecurity. Manages projects and establishes processes and procedures that support all aspects of the network infrastructure and cybersecurity. Collaborates with key stakeholders including central services staff, school‑based staff, as well as business partners. Physical Demands:

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, to attend meetings, address emergency situations and meet deadlines.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent that enables effective performance.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing IT staff and leading enterprise‑wide projects and end‑user support.
- Certificate/Licenses: CISSP or equivalent security certification as well as Network+, CCNA or equivalent network certification.
The wage range for this position is between $130,899 and $182,217.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in network protocols, BGP, EIGRP, IPSec, NAT/PAT, QoS, Multicast, STP, 10
GigE, GigE, encryption, certificates, and end‑point protection. - Ability to manage, develop staff, and resources for multiple projects effectively using project management skills.
- Cross‑team collaboration with other departments and offices to identify and address user requirements.
- Modern approach to network security, cybersecurity risk identification, mitigation, and use of encryption, traffic collection/analysis tools, malware identification, web filtering, and dynamic routing protocols.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise‑class network equipment, software‑defined network architecture, cloud network architecture, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and human relations skills.
- Ability to lead work teams and facilitate process design sessions and manage resources, priorities, and projects.
- Adaptability and quick learning in technical and creative environments with tight deadlines.
