Technical Recruiting Leader @ Blu Omega with Delivery ExpertiseJoin Blu Omega’s team as a Senior Service Now System Administrator and become a cornerstone in managing and optimizing one of the most critical digital platforms for our client. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of the Service Now platform, ensuring seamless support for all IT Service Management (ITSM) functions.
Your expertise will empower teams by transforming network insights into actionable intelligence, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving continuous platform modernization.
Additionally, a strong focus will be placed on endpoint protection, ensuring our client's devices and endpoints are secured and integrated into the overall IT ecosystem. Location: 1 day a week on site in Rockville, MD (Wednesdays)
Clearance Needed
:
Public Trust clearance required
- Manage day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of the Service Now platform, including support for ticketing, disaster recovery, license management, digital certificates, and keys.
- Oversee the administration of core modules such as User Accounts, CMDB, Service Catalog, alerts, and integrations across all environments.
- Implement and support endpoint protection solutions within the Service Now environment, ensuring device security and compliance across the organization.
- Provide expert guidance on best practices for support, system performance, and endpoint security, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Identify areas for improvement within the Service Now platform and lead initiatives to modernize and enhance functionality, with a focus on security enhancements.
- Mentor and lead teams of Service Now administrators, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and security awareness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and implement upgrades or new features aligned with organizational and security goals.
- Maintain a proactive approach to system health, security, and compliance, ensuring operational excellence and endpoint defense.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Service Now administration, including ITSM core tables, scripting, business rules, portals, catalog items, reporting, and data management.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring teams of Service Now administrators.
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential required.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Experience integrating and supporting endpoint security tools within ITSM platforms.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of SOAP Web Services, SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP integrations.
- Possession of ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundations Certification.
- Experience with endpoint protection platforms and security management.
- Experience working with government clients or understanding of government clearance processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary Band:
$110,000- $130,000
Your final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
