Senior Clinical Data Business Analyst

  W2 ONLY.
• This is a contract-to-hire role through CDW working for our end client. The position converts to permanent employment with the client after 6 months.
• Must be currently located in the Rockville, MD area and available to work on-site on at least hybrid schedule.

Senior analyst to map clinical and operational processes, define data capture gates, implement data‑quality rules and reconciliation workflows across HiRasmus and Lumary (Salesforce), and build the dashboards and operational controls leadership needs to make accurate business decisions.

• Run stakeholder workshops and document current‑state process maps by role (therapist, clinical admin, billing, scheduling, intake, managers).
• Create data lineage and source‑of‑truth maps for key entities: sessions/appointments, attendance/hours provided, cancellations/reschedules, approved hours, authorizations, and claims/billing.
• Identify gaps and failure modes (where fields are blank/incorrect, delayed, or lost during integrations).
• Define process gates (required fields, validation rules, approval steps, business rules, timestamps) to prevent dirty data entering downstream systems.
• Design and specify interface/ETL improvements (HiRasmus? Lumary/Salesforce? billing system / Net Suite / insurers). Document API/field mappings and transformation rules.
• Build pragmatic, prioritized quick wins: data quality queries, nightly reconciliation jobs, dashboards, alerts for exceptions and missing authorizations.
• Create and maintain a Data Dictionary and Data Quality rules (completeness, timeliness, uniqueness, accuracy).
• Implement reconciliation and exception workflows (automated where possible) and tie them into ticketing/escalation (Help Scout/Jira).
• Partner with IT / integration engineers to implement validation rules (Salesforce validation rules/flows, middleware transforms, Workday provisioning impacts).
• Produce dashboards and reports for leadership showing operational KPIs and data‑quality metrics.
• Provide training and change management to clinician and admin roles on the new data gates and workflows.
• Ensure solutions support HIPAA and PHI handling best practices and documentation.

• 5–8+ years business systems / data analysis experience in healthcare or behavioral health environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce (admin and/or analyst), preferably with Lumary, Salesforce Health Cloud, or care‑management packages.
• Experience with HiRasmus (or similar clinical operations platforms) or implementing data flows to/from EHR/clinical platforms.
• Strong SQL skills for data discovery, reconciliation and reporting. Ability to write joins, aggregation, window functions.
• Experience with ETL / integration tooling (Mule Soft, Fivetran, Talend, Boomi, or custom API integration).
• BI & visualization experience (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Salesforce Tableau CRM) and translating analysis into operational dashboards.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and claims (payer authorizations, approved hours, billing through insurance), or experience working with revenue cycle teams.
• Familiarity with data governance, master data management concepts and data quality frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder & workshop facilitation skills; able to map processes and drive consensus among clinicians, operations, and finance.
• Strong written documentation skills (process maps, data dictionaries, acceptance criteria).
• Understanding of HIPAA/PHI requirements and secure handling of patient data.
• Preferred:
  Salesforce Admin/Platform Developer certs, experience with Lumary, prior clinical direct‑care operations experience.

• Python for data scripting or comfort with dbt for transformations.
• Experience with scheduling systems, telehealth flows, or MDM interactions for device‑based session tracking.
• Prior experience reconciling clinical session systems to billing systems and Net Suite.
• Comprehensive process maps per role (intake ? scheduling ? session ? billing) and a prioritized gap list.
