AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Level II

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Level II to support the XMS platform. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure and networking solutions in compliance with federal security standards.

This position is hands‑on and technical, requiring strong expertise in AWS architecture, cloud networking, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

• Architect, develop, and implement AWS infrastructure including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and IAM in accordance with security and compliance standards for XMS.
• Design and optimize AWS networking solutions to ensure secure connectivity, high availability, and fault tolerance across system components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and network‑related issues, ensuring system reliability and rapid incident response.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and stakeholder teams to support cloud‑based system requirements.
• Monitor and improve cloud performance, security posture, and cost efficiency.
• Stay current with evolving AWS services, architectural patterns, and security best practices, recommending enhancements as needed.

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure
• In‑depth knowledge of AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, IAM)
• Experience designing secure and compliant cloud environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
• Experience producing technical design documentation
