We are seeking an experienced Recruiter with expertise in screening and placing armed and unarmed security guards. The ideal candidate will understand the suitability, clearance, and background investigation process and will partner with hiring managers and compliance teams to ensure candidates meet all federal, state, and client‑specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Full‑Cycle Recruiting:
Source, screen, interview, and present qualified candidates for armed and unarmed security guard positions. - Background & Suitability Expertise:
Guide candidates through background investigations, suitability determinations, and clearance requirements (e.g., fingerprinting, employment eligibility verification, and security questionnaires). - Compliance Alignment:
Ensure hiring practices align with federal, state, and local laws as well as client compliance requirements. - Pipeline Development:
Build and maintain a pipeline of cleared and uncleared candidates for rapid staffing of priority contracts. - Data Management:
Track candidate progress in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date recruiting metrics. - Client & Hiring Manager Partnership:
Collaborate with leadership and program managers to understand staffing requirements and workforce planning needs. - Candidate
Experience:
Provide timely communication to candidates, ensuring professionalism and transparency throughout the recruitment, background screening, and onboarding process.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in security services, law enforcement, or government contracting.
- Working knowledge of the FPS suitability/background investigation process (e.g., SF‑85, SF‑86, eQIP, OPM/NBIB, fingerprinting).
- Experience recruiting armed and unarmed security personnel in multi‑state environments.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms, job boards, veteran job networks, and referral campaigns.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
- Prior experience supporting government security contracts.
- Understanding of FSO responsibilities and onboarding/compliance workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret client contract requirements for FPS suitability and clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent communication and candidate engagement skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance.
- Knowledge of federal suitability and clearance standards.
