Your Role:
As the Laboratory Equipment Specialist in the Immuno GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Lab, you are responsible for the management, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment used in immunoassay department. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and supports the laboratory operations by providing technical expertise and support for equipment-related activities.
Responsibilities- Equipment Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment, ensuring it is functioning optimally and in compliance with GMP standards.
- Calibration and Validation: Coordinate routine calibration, validation, and qualification of laboratory instruments and equipment, documenting all processes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or discrepancies, coordinating with vendors or technical support when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and validation activities, ensuring all documentation is compliant with GMP regulations.
- Training: Provide training and support to laboratory staff on proper equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management of equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and compliance with GMP standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to laboratory equipment and ensure compliance within the lab environment.
- This position may require occasional lifting of heavy equipment and working in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological materials.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours as needed to support laboratory operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment, preferably within a GMP-regulated setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with immunological equipment.
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
- Proficient in Excel and/or other spreadsheet application.
- Strong understanding of laboratory equipment operation, calibration, and maintenance. Familiarity with GMP regulations and quality systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train and support staff effectively.
Pay Range for this position – $27/hr – $52/hr
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
