Overview

AHC Outpatient Wellness Clinic seeks to hire an experienced Senior Behavioral Health Therapist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Excellent Written and Verbal Skills Required.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality therapeutic care that is appropriate to the age, diagnoses, developmental state, and mental status of the clients assigned to their unit/department
  • Initiates and implements complete, comprehensive psychosocial assessments
  • Provides individual, group, and family therapies to clients and their families
  • Participates in an interdisciplinary treatment team to propose and develop strategies and interventions that promote excellent therapeutic outcomes
  • Assists clients in developing self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-actualization through traditional and adjunctive therapeutic services
  • Documents services provided and disseminates information/reports to community referral sources and agencies (e.g., DJS, DSS, HHS, APS, CPS, LCC)
  • Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, and community resources for aftercare and supportive services to ensure a successful discharge planning process
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to diffuse psychotic and/or behavioral crises to ensure client, unit, and staff safety and stability
  • Assesses and intervenes in cases of suspected/disclosed child/adult neglect/abuse issues
  • Promotes positive patient-family-community relations
  • Supervises interns in psychotherapeutic treatment of patients and their families, including individual therapy, parent collateral work, family therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy; monitors progress and regularly reviews treatment plans and goals; coordinates with other professionals to assure coordinated service delivery
  • Supervises interns’ documentation, including maintenance of charts, consent forms, data collection forms, progress notes, and treatment plans as required by state DHMH

  • Excellent Skills in Maintaining Information as Highly Confidential Required
  • Excellent capabilities in supporting and overseeing interns’ clinical decisions regarding diagnosis and treatment
  • Skilled in clinical documentation review and quality assurance measures; multidisciplinary consultation and teaming
  • Knowledge of Psychological Disorders & Abnormal Psychology Related to Adolescents and Adults Required
  • Exceptional Conflict Resolution, Crisis Management, Time Management Skills Required
  • Excellent Interpersonal Relationship Skills Required
  • Excellent Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, and Creativity Skills Required
  • Excellent Public Relations and Customer Service Skills Required
  • Ability to Concentrate on Work Amid Distractions
  • Flexibility in Work Hours to Meet patient and organization operating needs
  • Ability to Consistently Meet Deadlines Regardless of Caseload
  • Ability to Maintain Self-Control in volatile situations
  • Ability to Set Therapeutic Limits and Maintain Therapeutic Distance with Clients
  • Ability to Maintain Therapeutic Boundaries with Clients during Treatment and Following Discharge
  • Ability to Prioritize Multiple Task Demands Within Established Time Frames
  • Ability to Use PC (Windows, E-Mail, Internet), Telephone, and Office Equipment
  • Requires full licensure (e.g., LCSW-C, LCPC, LCMFT or equivalent)

Compensation

Pay Range: $66,913.60 - $
