The salary range above represents this position’s earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be $62,328 – $88,885, based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The Asian American Health Initiative (AAHI) is currently recruiting an enthusiastic professional to serve as the Health Education Coordinator. The Health Education Coordinator is responsible for raising awareness of health disparities in the Asian American community and facilitating organizations to develop programming to address these concerns. The Health Education Coordinator will play a significant role in the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the deliverables of health education programming that lead to improved health, wellness, and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and evaluate health education initiatives on various health-related topics, access to care, and other social determinants of health using PDSA cycle.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on health disparities impacting the AAPI community.
- Compile local resources and share information with targeted constituent groups.
- Supports administrative services.
Experience:
One (1) year of professional experience in health education, public health programming, or community outreach, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives specifically serving the Asian American community.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree
LICENSE:
Possession and maintenance at all times of a valid Class “C” (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant’s state of residence when required for job-related duties
Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
At least one of the following certifications:
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
- Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH)
- Health Disparities and Health Inequality Certificate
Experience working with the Asian American or Pacific Islander community in the past 2 years. Proficient in at least one Asian language. Public speaking experience delivering presentations or workshops.
