Land Survey Field Technician

A. Morton Thomas, LLC (AMT) is hiring a Land Survey Field Technician to work based out of our office in Rockville, MD

Responsibilities

• Perform field survey activities to support the survey crew chief
• Field survey activities will include technical support:
  Operate survey instruments, levels, GPS, iPad, and data collector. Entry-level staff will be trained to operate survey instruments during the first year of employment
• Field survey activities will include manual labor support: open and investigate utility manholes, set survey points with sledgehammer, set survey points on construction sites, stock survey supplies in survey vehicle
• Perform daily field survey activities as directed by the survey crew chief

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Certified Survey Technician, Associates Degree, Bachelors in Land Surveying or GIS preferred
• 0-1 years of experience
• Entry level position
• Basic knowledge of field surveying procedures desired but not mandatory
• Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with team members
• Positive attitude and professional bearing
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and develop personally and professionally
• Must be service oriented and be excited to work in a team environment
• Valid Driver's License
