The Role

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer based out of Rockville, MD-USA with significant relevant experience in the Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology) industry. The Project Engineer will work in a fast-paced, site-based environment supporting both Project and Construction Managers.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities:

  • Excellent written and oral skills and an effective presenter
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and plans work activities, while using time efficiently
  • Organizes, plans, prioritizes, and participates in reviews with engineering and construction.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully, while developing alternative solutions, if necessary
  • Understands business implications of decisions and activities.
  • Works with administrative supervision and effectively manages multiple and conflicting priorities.
  • Works cooperatively with others as a team member.
  • Understands both the technical and commercial aspects of the projects and proposals.

Expected:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture is preferred.

A well-developed knowledge of the life sciences engineering work processes and principles and understands working in an integrated environment.

3+ years of related industry experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit and walk
