Overview
A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students across multiple schools in Rockville, MD. This leave contract position spans until June 12th, 2026, with a mid-February, April, or May start date depending on the school assignment. Candidates must hold an active Maryland license and be available for in-person work.
Location- Rockville, MD - Multiple school sites including elementary and middle schools
- Contract duration:
Leave coverage through June 12, 2026 - Work schedule:
37.5 hours per week - Multiple start dates and school assignments available:
- Mid-February start at Dayton Oaks Elementary (5 days/week)
- April start at Ellicott Mills Middle School (5 days/week), Thomas Viaduct Middle School (4 days/week), Jeffers Hill Elementary School (1 day/week), and Laurel Woods Elementary School (5 days/week)
- May start at Burleigh Manor Middle School (2 days/week) and Hammond Middle School (3 days/week)
- Assignments may be paired across schools
- Only in-person candidates will be considered at this time
- Positive contractor experiences may lead to consideration for continued employment in the following school year
- Provide speech and language assessments and interventions aligned with student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and documentation per school district guidelines
- Communicate progress and challenges effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Support student development through tailored therapeutic strategies
- Active Maryland SLP license required
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, preferably K-12
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology is highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage varied caseloads in educational environments
- Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered services
- Ability to adapt to multiple school environments and collaborate with school staff
Compensation for this position ranges from $35.22 to $55.22. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here.
