Tutor - Special Education (Orton-Gillingham)

Job DescriptionThe Treatment and Learning Center is seeking early education/elementary math and reading tutors to work 4 - 6 hours per week. The tutors will work with school aged students. Experience and/or education with learning differences is required. Orton-Gillingham training or experience is a plus (certification not required). This is a great opportunity for a retired teacher or for anyone looking to earn extra income.
Very friendly and supportive staff, great work atmosphere. This is an in-person position.
- Elementary - ages 5 - 8, Reading and Math
- Special Education
- Early Education Reading Interventions, such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or Phono-Graphix
Salary range $38/hour to $42/hour
Required Experience- Must have a B.A. degree and teaching or tutoring experience in one or more of these areas
- Experience with Maryland education standards required
- Experience with learning differences
- Organizational/executive function tutoring/coaching is a plus
- Reading tutors must be trained in Wilson and/or Orton Gillingham and/or Phono-Graphix
