· Responsible for supervision of children and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional and physical development of each child.  
· Implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum  
· Maintains a safe, clean, and organized classroom  
· Builds positive relationships with children, staff, and parents  
· Performs other duties as required or assigned  Conditions for Employment:  
· This position is subject to satisfactory clearance of all background checks. The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Childcare (OCC) and General Service Administration (GSA).
Job Type: Full-time  MSDE OCC### Required Skills, Education, and Experience
** The following trainings are required

* Qualifications:

· High school Diploma or GED  
· Minimum 1 year teaching experience.  
· Must demonstrate experience and interest in working with young children, parents, and volunteers  
· Must demonstrate success in working as a member of a team  
· Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program  
· Must meet the Maryland State Department of Education-Office of Childcare (MSDE-OCC) qualifications.  
· CDA Preschool or  
· 90 Hour Certificate in Preschool or  
· AA or BA in Early Childhood Education  
· Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA 3 Hour Training)  
· Basic Health & Safety Training  
· 9 Hour Communication Training  additional trainings a plus  
· First Aid/CPR  
· Medication Administration  
· Emergency Preparedness### Compensation Compensation Type: hourly  Minimum: $19.5  Maximum: $21### Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
