Job Overview

Liberty Construction is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Project Manager to lead healthcare interior fit‑out projects across the Washington DC metro area. Specializing in medical, dental, and veterinary practices, Liberty’s projects range from $300K to $1M, with fast‑paced schedules averaging 90 days. As the primary point of contact for clients, you’ll coordinate directly with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.

This role is ideal for someone with commercial interior construction experience, strong MEP and finish trade coordination skills, and a passion for creating efficient, beautiful healthcare spaces. The role is based out of our Rockville, MD office and includes local travel to 1–2 job sites per week (all within 1 hour of the office).

  • Manage multiple active interior healthcare build‑outs simultaneously.
  • Coordinate design changes during construction with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Smart Sheet.
  • Lead weekly project meetings to update internal teams and stakeholders on progress and budget.
  • Ensure subcontractors fully understand their scope and contract obligations.
  • Oversee material delivery timelines and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Track project coordination using Procore and Asana software.
  • Collaborate closely with on‑site superintendents and internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager in Commercial or Healthcare construction.
  • Familiarity with MEP systems and finish trades (e.g., flooring, drywall, plumbing, electrical).
  • Experience managing fast‑paced interior fit‑out projects (no core/shell, site work, or exterior).
  • Proficient with construction documents, Bluebeam, Procore, and other PM tools.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites locally (1–2 per week).
