The Quality Control Manager will assure that Grunley Construction provides the highest quality of construction services and that we will meet or exceed all stated requirements in which we are involved with respect to materials and workmanship. The Quality Control Manager has authority granted by the President of Grunley Construction.

Reports to:

Vice President & General Manager. Day‑to‑day activities are coordinated with the onsite Superintendent, Project Manager, and Project Executive as appropriate.

  Education and Experience
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of construction experience or an associate’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience. Must have working knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and practices with the Corp of Engineers. This position requires a successful track record in all aspects of construction and construction practices.

• Submittal Management
  • Develop Quality Control Plan for submission
  • Review and approve work plans
  • Review and approve product submissions
• Plan for and Conduct Three‑Phase Inspection Program
  • Preparatory Meetings and Reports
  • Initial Phase Inspections and Reports
  • Follow‑up Inspections and Reports
  • Final Phase Inspections and Reports
• Quality Control Inspections
  • Develop and maintain a site‑specific test log
  • Examine materials and equipment to ensure they comply with the approved submittals and the contract requirements
  • Maintain log of non‑compliance and implement program for corrective actions
  • Check for damaged or defective materials
  • Verify dimensional requirements
  • Verify that as‑built drawings are being maintained
• Daily Reports
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain contemporaneous daily reports summarizing information regarding all above activities
• Safety Assistance
  • Photo documentation of all job‑site accidents/incidents scenes prior to any disturbance of the scene (including persons involved and surrounding areas)
  • Coordinate additional photography with the Safety Department
  • Download the photos within 24 hours of the accident with annotation for use by the Safety Department

base salaries will be determined by skills, position, education, experience, market consideration, and geographic location. The salary range for this role will be $90,000.00–$.
