Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 with opportunity for bonus.

Position Summary

The Director of Business Development will oversee and optimize ABCD’s sales pipeline, refine business development operations, drive sales growth, expand market opportunities, and facilitate key partnerships. This role partners with the Executive Committee to manage the firm’s portfolio of prospects, existing clients, and revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sales Operations & Pipeline Management:
    Oversee the full lifecycle of the business development pipeline from lead generation to close; lead EC Sales Meetings; collaborate with senior leaders to implement a growth strategy and evaluate opportunities.
  • Lead Generation & Nurturing:
    Oversee all lead generation channels, identify opportunities, and collaborate with Research & Marketing to target prospects; ensure qualification standards are met.
  • Proposal & Presentation Development:
    Draft and refine proposals, scopes of work, pitch decks, and pricing; respond to RFPs with customized solutions.
  • Marketing Alignment:
    Act as liaison between Sales and Marketing; collaborate on collateral, thought leadership, and lead magnets; optimize campaigns based on data.
  • Client Journey & Sales Process Leadership:
    Refine the agency-wide sales process and client journey; ensure smooth onboarding and handoffs; map the full client experience and drive improvements.

    Collaboration:

    Develop and execute a BD strategy to achieve revenue goals; partner with executives to pursue high-value opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or client services in a B2B agency or professional services firm.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred); ability to design dashboards and track KPIs.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue goals.
  • Strong understanding of client journey mapping, pipeline forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; highly organized and data-driven.
  • Experience building and managing sales teams and scaling operations; strong emotional intelligence to lead and influence across teams.
