Project Manager – Industrial Electrical & Automation

Position Overview

ASE is seeking an energetic and driven Project Manager (PM) to join our high‑performing team. This highly visible role requires a proactive leader capable of managing multiple fixed‑price projects from inception through completion while ensuring exceptional quality and on‑time delivery. The PM will work closely with internal teams, field personnel, and customers to ensure project milestones, safety standards, and budget goals are not only met—but exceeded.

This role requires strong coordination, scheduling, cost tracking, risk management, and communication skills. Candidates with electrical, construction, or industrial project experience are highly desired.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently to ensure on‑time, on‑budget completion.
  • Execute all project tasks according to ASE project management protocols, forms, documentation, and procedures.
  • Identify and schedule deliverables, milestones, and tasks; participate in planning meetings and resource allocation.
  • Direct and coordinate project personnel to ensure progress aligns with schedule and budget.
  • Identify risks to project timelines and implement effective contingency plans.
  • Track and manage all project costs.
  • Enforce company policies, safety compliance, and reporting procedures in the field.
  • Review status reports, adjust schedules, and keep all departments aligned on project progress.
  • Maintain communication with vendors and contractors to support milestone achievement.
  • Conduct on‑site safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare project status reports and ensure all required documentation is delivered accurately.
  • Support HR with performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and improvement plans for project‑related personnel.
  • Conduct investigations related to accidents, near misses, and compliance concerns.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and identify process gaps with recommended solutions.
  • Manage inventory levels, shipping, receiving, and logistics to prevent delays or cost impacts.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of the Project Management Department.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (College degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive project management experience.
  • Experience in electrical controls, industrial automation, or construction highly desirable.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong risk management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency, including MS Office (MS Project preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and E‑Verify.
  • Experience managing and motivating crews.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations or willingness to learn and enforce them.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
  • Self‑starter with strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical components is a plus.
Job Requirements
  • Full‑time position (40+ hours per week).
  • Regular, punctual attendance; ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Travel to project sites when required.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties described.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office‑based work with periodic on‑site visits.
  • On‑site conditions may include hot, cold, humid, or dry environments depending on season.
  • Exposure to industrial hazards requiring appropriate PPE.
  • Fast‑paced environment with deadline‑driven responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in loud industrial settings when needed.
