Driver – The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC

Deliver materials to job sites, inspect and maintain truck, report shortages and claims to supervisor, and assist in loading and storing materials. This role does not require a CDL license, but may require state-sanctioned certification.

- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Help ensure correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery.
- Deliver materials to the job site.
- Record selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensure correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Work in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations.
- Load finished product onto truck.
- Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager regarding the warehouse or deliveries.
- Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders.
- Other relative duties as assigned.
- Minimum Education – High School diploma or GED.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Clean driving record and current operator’s license.
- At least 21 years of age to drive for the company.
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Experience driving trucks for delivery.
- Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware preferred.
- Good communication skills – proper use of company-issued devices.
- Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
- Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates.
This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
WorkEnvironment
This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
