Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and organized Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative support to attorneys. The ideal candidate will have strong legal administrative skills, be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. This position is on-site and in-person,
not a remote position. Accordingly, all interviews for this position will be conducted in person at our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court appearances
  • File legal documents with courts (e-filing and hard copy)
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of legal filings
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and other attorneys professionally
  • Handle billing and time entry tasks using legal billing software
  • Perform general administrative tasks (answering phones, managing emails, and office support)
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, court rules, and filing procedures
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
  • Experience with Clio is a plus
  • Legal Document Preparation and Legal Assistants skills
  • Knowledge of Law and Clerical Skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

    Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in family law
