Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and organized Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative support to attorneys. The ideal candidate will have strong legal administrative skills, be comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. This position is on-site and in-person,
not a remote position. Accordingly, all interviews for this position will be conducted in person at our office.
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court appearances
- File legal documents with courts (e-filing and hard copy)
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
- Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of legal filings
- Communicate with clients, courts, and other attorneys professionally
- Handle billing and time entry tasks using legal billing software
- Perform general administrative tasks (answering phones, managing emails, and office support)
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree preferred - Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
- Familiarity with legal terminology, court rules, and filing procedures
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Experience with Clio is a plus
- Legal Document Preparation and Legal Assistants skills
- Knowledge of Law and Clerical Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines - Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in family law
